Neo4j has released a new Python library named graphiti-core, aimed at building dynamic, temporally aware knowledge graphs. This library facilitates the ingestion of both unstructured and structured data, enabling the creation of complex, evolving relationships between entities over time. Key features include smart graph updates, rich edge semantics, temporal awareness, and hybrid search capabilities, making it useful in fields such as sales, customer service, health, and finance. The library is integral to Zep's memory layer for LLM-powered assistants and agents. It is available for installation via pip or poetry and requires Python 3.10 or higher, Neo4j 5.21 or higher, and an OpenAI API key for LLM inference and embedding, with optional support for Anthropic or Groq API keys.
