SingleStore has announced its integration with Snowflake, making SingleStore available as a Snowflake Native App on the Snowflake Marketplace starting September 20, 2024. This integration is facilitated through a new bi-directional Iceberg integration developed by SingleStore. It allows Snowflake users to deploy SingleStore clusters directly within their Snowflake accounts, thereby utilizing SingleStore's capabilities without moving or copying data outside of Snowflake's governance boundary. Additionally, Snowflake credits can be used to pay for the compute required to run SingleStore workloads on the Snowflake platform. This partnership significantly enhances the ability to build real-time applications within Snowflake, supporting hybrid search with both semantic and exact keyword matching, and integrating streaming data with data in Iceberg format for real-time analytics.
