The first launch took place at 11:20 p.m. EDT from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California, where a Falcon 9 rocket deployed next-generation spy satellites for the U.S. National Reconnaissance Office and successfully landed on the droneship Of Course I Still Love You. Earlier that day, at 11:33 a.m. EDT, another Falcon 9 rocket launched 21 Starlink internet satellites from Florida's Space Coast, including 13 'Direct to Cell' satellites aimed at providing internet coverage directly to smartphones. This rocket's first-stage booster landed on the droneship Just Read The Instructions in the Atlantic Ocean.
